When can I enroll in an individual health plan or make changes to my current plan?
According to the Affordable Care Act guidelines changes can be made during Open Enrollment. Open Enrollment is from November15, 2014 through February 15, 2015. To make changes outside of the open enrollment dates, individuals must experience a Qualifying Life Event (QLE). Examples of a QLE are loss of employer coverage, exhaustion of COBRA or divorce.
Am I eligible for a tax credit to help subsidize my premium?
Click the link to take you to the Kaiser Family Foundation’s Subsidy Calculator. By answering a few questions you can find out if you are eligible for a subsidy. If you qualify for a subsidy, you will be directed to to apply for a plan and use your subsidy.
How do I get quotes for individual health insurance?
Rates are figured by gender, age, tobacco use, county and zip code of residence. After clicking on “Get a quote”, you will be asked these questions and then be able to compare rates from the carriers available in your area. Once a plan is chosen, you will be directed to that specific carrier to apply on-line.
How can I find out what network my doctor is in?
To find doctors, specialists and hospitals that are included in your network’s select group, visit that specific carriers website. (,

Will using your service cost me anything?
No. You pay the same premium whether you purchase direct from the carrier or through an agent. The benefit of buying through an agent is that you are able to quote many carriers at one time, saving you time. You’ll have someone to contact when you have questions regarding plan selection, the enrollment process, claims, and any other questions you may have.
