Shepherd Insurance Announces New Benefits

Carmel, IN – In October 2022, our leadership team met to brainstorm and create a vision to continue making Shepherd Insurance the Independent Insurance Agency of choice for our communities, clients and employees. “In the next 36 months, over 100 Shepherd Insurance employees will be eligible for retirement,” says Shepherd Insurance CEO Quinn Shepherd. “It’s our goal to create a welcoming and enjoyable work environment that the next generation will want to be a part of.” 

 

In appreciation for our employees, their work-life balance and their total well-being, Shepherd Insurance is excited to announce two new benefits being offered to our employees. Effective February 1st, Shepherd Insurance will offer a compressed work week and additional paid leave opportunities. Details of the new benefits are as follows.  

 

New Compressed Work Week – This new opportunity allows employees to work a traditional work week in fewer workdays.  

  • Option 1 – Employees can work four 9.25-hour days in a week and have the 5th day off.  
  • Option 2 – Employees can work a total of 75 hours in a two-week period. In most cases, employees work eight 8.5-hour days and one 7-hour day, with the 10th day as the day off. 

  

New Paid Leave – In addition to the already offered paid time off, we will be offering paid leave for childbirth, adoption or placement of a foster child for the following categories.
